Current health and wellbeing programmes include:
Activate Seniors Programme
- Activate Seniors is a dynamic engagement programme for over 50's that aims to develop and enhance their experiences, focusing on key areas such as reducing social isolation and loneliness, improving health and wellbeing and bridging the generation gap through inter-generational schemes. The programme is led by the needs of local individuals and groups and helps participants to develop new skills through a variety of learning opportunities which will enable them to remain active within their communities, homes and personal lives. The programme has delivery across 4 main themes - exercise and mobility, adapted sport, reminiscence and intergenerational activities.
- Bridging Forces is a jointly funded (RBL, Peoples Postcode Trust and the Armed Forces Covenant) 3 tiered programme, offering veteran's health and wellbeing support and providing opportunities for education and employment. CFCF are working with the veterans based at local organisation Stoll on the delivery of the programme.
Scoring for Health
- European Football Development Network funded school based 12 week health and wellbeing programme. The programme targets children aged 9-13 across multiple schools aiming to improve the physical activity levels of the children and their knowledge and awareness of healthy eating and a healthy weight.
